People need to stop being so obsessed with bezelless designs, including manufacturers. Focus on real innovations, rather than smaller bezels and bigger screens. I got one for my daughter, after my trials with SailfishOS didn't work out, and whilst setting up the phone I wanted to use the shared uSD slot, only to find it's not shared, there is a tray for two SIM cards plus behind the door a uSD slot.
If Sony can trim down the top bezel while keeping that same unique front screen design, it can easily be a solid design winner. I still can't love the 10 Mk2 and 10 Mk3 design despite a much potent hardware upgrade. This is still my top favourite smartphone design to date.
Speaking of this particular phone, we are still yet to see any brand new successor to date. There was supposed to be a follow up with Snapdragon G chipset, but Sony binned it because they want to focus on 5G. If Sony can release a brand new 5G successor of this phone with at least a Snapdragon G chipset, it can be a hot seller.
I don't think it will cannibalize the flagship model sales, particularly because of the less powerful chipset and camera hardware. Jonuxzas, 11 Mar I was ok if it was eur, but ??? This is just a scam! Don't buy this phone.. Lol, EUR ? Where did you see that? You can buy one now for not more than EUR I definitely hope that Sony would retain the styling of this phone. The cameras on offer are the culmination of Sony's imaging expertise, with a shooting experience that's an absolute dream for any budding amateur photographer as well.
There's a good chance that the prices of the first two Sony handsets on this list are simply out of the question.
If your buying budget doesn't stretch that far, and you're keen to pick up a Sony smartphone, then the Xperia L4 is the best budget buy. It's not as flashy as any of the other handsets on this list, but where it counts the Xperia L4 isn't too shabby for the price. It has the same size screen as the Xperia 5 II although it's only p and there are plenty of cameras to play around with, too.
Performance is fine enough for a budget phone, but you might find that battery life could be better. The Xperia L4 is a decent choice if you're strapped for cash and you aren't keen on picking up a budget phone from any other manufacturer. Read our full Sony Xperia L4 review for more details. If you're willing to spend a bit more but still don't fancy forking out the sums for Sony's latest high-end models, then the Xperia 10 III should be where your wallet is headed.
Sony's mid-range smartphone looks pretty swish for the price, has a long-lasting battery life the second-best we've ever tested and a large OLED screen with astonishing colour accuracy. It's not as powerful as the flagship Xperia 1 III, but the Xperia 10 III is still a decent performer for the price, especially when you consider that it costs a good deal less.
All in all, this is a beautiful phone, with Sony's famous build quality. Truedroid, 26 Oct I respect camera of Sony, they do excellent job. But the price of this phone is very expensive Secondly, it is not right to compare this to other all-round phones. This is a camera which happens to make phone calls. This is mostly intended for a specific group of costumer, vloggers, content creators.
But if we are to compare it to the phones you mentioned, they are mainly point-and-shoot phones, which is what most people need and want. Which also may produce better images in that area. But if you are a photographer or videographer who knows a thing or two about cameras, this phone would blow any iPhone or Pixel ever been made away.
If you dive deep into that camera you'll see that you can produce a lot more versatile and better picture, which will save you the bother of carrying a heavy dedicated camera with all of its accessories.
