I attended all three days of the SA v England Test. This is a great venue to watch cricket - we were in the Unity Pavilion which afforded lovely views of the whole ground.

In SA you can watch a whole Test for far less than one day at a Test in the UK so you get a much younger, livelier and vibrant crowd Yes stewarding is non existent and you have to get used to the food vendors walking by every minute or so and climbing over seats but then you don't have to go out for water or an ice cream.

Whilst there are large stands round most of the ground, there is a nice grassy bank and also a very antiquated high bench backless stand by the scoreboard. There is no doubt that it would have been condemned many years ago in the UK - seriously.

It is deceptively steep, when you walk by it - at the back I would say you need a good head for heights and possibly an oxygen mask and rope to get there. You were allowed on the playing area at lunch time and you can appreciate how it gets it's 'bullring' nickname.

It is a very easy stadium to walk round and you get good views of the adjoining golf course. There is a decent club shop, plenty of food and drink outlets and toilets at SA cricket grounds are probably the best in the cricket world. In summary the stadium is a brilliant cricket venue, great atmosphere, particularly when it is going well for the home side, good very cheap seats and decent facilities. Well worth a visit. Had a good view of the Eng V SA T20 match and there was a great atmosphere with lots of music blasting out between overs and wickets going down. A fun place to watch cricket I would say and safe for tourists too.

This stadium is very busy, but is central, accessible and provide a great sporting experience. I just watch the guys training from a distance and that was wow for me! The visitors scored before losing all their wickets, with Niroshan Dickwella scoring In reply, South Africa managed to get to their target in 32 overs, winning by 7 wickets. After deciding to bat first, the home side scored with Hashim Amla and JP Duminy both posting tons.
